Very interesting. I too have always been a pretty compassionate person but holy heck, once I had a baby I almost feel like I feel too much. Now I just want to cry I when I see a homeless person picking through the trash or when I read about orphans in China. There just seems to be so much hurt in this world and definitely not enough compassion.

And this is why I am most grateful for some of the hardest challenges in my life and the things that hurt the most- as these moments in addition to being a mom, helped me learn the most compassion and understanding as you just never know what someone else is really going through

Ahh…that’s what Christians think of as God. Whispering and guiding us, if we listen. Problem is, sometimes it’s easier to ignore. Which is not cool, but, yeah, totally guilty.
